The joint exercise was an opportunity for the two countries to cooperate and exchange knowledge. Moreover, it allowed the two navies to cooperate in logistical operations and security of combat operations, as the Polish Navy launchers were transported with air assets.

Poland has recently received the second system of NSM launchers, bound to equip the naval missile unit of its Navy. The first system was accepted in 2013 and the agreement for a second one was signed in 2014.

During the fire test, the Polish unit fired the missile against a surface target. The weapon went through multiple pre-designated waypoints before hitting the target at a distance of 150 km.

The second firing scenario included the salvo firing of two missiles against the same target. The first missile was fired by the Polish Navy launcher, while the second was launched by a Royal Norwegian Navy surface vessel. Both missiles hit their target simultaneously, after discriminating it from other ones, simulating a saturation attack.

The procurement of the NSM systems by Poland enhanced the protection of its coastal infrastructure and of the fleet units operating in littoral waters. The delivery of the launchers was implemented by Kongsberg and the Polish company Pit-Radwar. The vehicles used as platforms were built by the local company Jelcz.
