The crews of warships which protect the water district of the Novorossiysk naval base of the Black Sea Fleet have drilled destruction of conditional adversary’s submarines on a new interactive Duel simulator, the fleet’s press service said.

"During the classes the sailors drilled the use of anti-submarine torpedo weapons and missiles in accordance with the given instructions of doing combat exercises in real time and in conditions, which are maximum close to the real situation," it said adding that Duel was designed to train ship crews to organize anti-submarine defense at sea as well as to search for and destroy enemy submarines. The crews of ships of the Novorossiysk naval base will spend about 200 instruction hours on the Duel simulator in the summer period of training.
