"The APR-3M has passed through all its trials, and we have mastered the serial manufacturing of the weapon. The deliveries of the missile to the Russian Navy [Voyenno-Morskoy Flot, VMF] are commencing. We will also start to promote it on the global arms market at an early date. The APR-3M has been integrated into the armament suite of the upgraded Kamov Ka-27M [NATO reporting name: Helix-A] anti-submarine warfare helicopter," said Krylov.

According to him, other modern air platforms of the VMF`s Naval Aviation (Morskaya Aviatsiya, MA) can also use the new weapon. "Other combat aircraft are capable of firing the weapon as the missile is a high-technological digital item," said Krylov.

The APR-3M is a further development of the APR-1, APR-2, and APR-3 missiles that were operated by the Soviet Navy and Russia`s VMF. Those weapons are reported to be among the most effective anti-submarine means in the world.
