According to information published by the Russian press agency TASS on August 2021, the first green-water frigate of higher-power project 22350M will be laid by Severnaya Verf Shipyard in St. Petersburg in 2023, a defense industry source told TASS.

Severnaya Verf is building a series of project 22350 frigates. The Admiral Gorshkov and the Admiral Kasatonov are already operational. Another six frigates are under construction. Severnaya Verf is a major Russian shipyard on Gutuevsky Island in Saint Petersburg, Russia, producing naval and civilian ships.
In May 2019, Navy Recognition has published news to announce that Russia plans to manufacture 12 upgraded Project 22350M frigates capable of carrying up to 48 Kalibr, Oniks, and Tsirkon cruise missiles.
The Type 22350, called Admiral Gorshkov-class, is the newest class of frigates being built by the Severnaya Verf in Saint Petersburg for the Russian Navy. Project 22350 was designed by the Severnoye Design Bureau and incorporates use of stealth technology.
While the initial Gorshkov-Class is equipped with 72 vertical launch systems (VLS) for both surface-to-air and cruise missiles, the type 22350M frigate will have 120 VLS cells.
The type 22350M was unveiled in 2014, the ship is dubbed "Super Gorshkov" for its enlarged hull with an increased displacement of 8,000 tons, pyramidal mast, and 64 VLS cells able to launch Kalibr, Oniks and Zircon anti-ship cruise missiles, being developed for the Russian Navy
