The TCG Anadolu is an amphibious assault ship (LHD) build for the Turkish Navy that can be configured as a light aircraft carrier. The construction works began on 30 April 2016 at the shipyard of Sedef Shipbuilding Inc. in Istanbul, with the keel being laid on 7 February 2018.

With the TCG Anadolu, the Turkish navy will have new naval aviation capabilities, the new ship will be able to carry a wide range of helicopters including medium-sized and heavy utility and attack helicopters as well as ASW/ASuW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) helicopters and STOVL (Short TakeOff/Vertical Landing) fighter jets.

The TCG Anadolu will have a length of 231 m, a beam of 32 m, a draught of 6.9 m with a displacement of 24,660 tons in "light aircraft carrier" mission configuration or 27,079 tons in "LHD" mission role. It will have a 5,440 m² flight deck and a 990 m² aviation hangar which can accommodate either 12 medium-size helicopters or 8 heavy-lift helicopters. When the aviation hangar and the light cargo garage are unified, the ship can carry up to 25 medium-size helicopters.

The Ufuk was designed through the MİLGEM Project Island Class Corvette platform to meet the needs of the Turkish Navy for the SIGINT (SIGnals INTelligence) platform. The ship has no conventional weapons to keep its role of intelligence ship.

TCG Ufuk has a length of 99.5 meters, a maximum width of 14.4 meters, 3.6 meters of the draft, and 2,400 tons of displacement. With a total power of about 8,600 kWh, 18+ knots can reach maximum speed. The A-591 Ufuk, which has a 10-ton heliport, has the capacity to travel continuously for 45 days, including international waters, in severe climates and sea conditions.

The Istanbul-class is a series of four frigates that will be delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces. Developed under the MILGEM national warship program as the I-class frigate, the Istanbul class is an enlarged version of the Ada-class anti-submarine corvette, with enhanced endurance and Mark 41 vertical launch system for multi-role capability.
