According to a PR published by HII on July 11, 2022, America’s only builder of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and leading provider of mission-driven defense technologies, announced that its Newport News Shipbuilding division has reached a significant milestone in the compartment and systems construction of aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy (CVN 79).

According to a PR published by Boeing on July 11, 2022, the newest P-8 maritime patrol, reconnaissance aircraft took to the skies over Puget Sound bringing the total number of P-8s delivered to 150. The 150th multi-mission P-8 will be operated by Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) One based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.
