Russia to upgrade submarine Irkutsk and destroyer Admiral Vinogradov in 2022

Admiral Vinogradov is an Udaloy-class destroyer of the Russian Navy; it is currently active with the Russian Pacific Fleet. It is named for Admiral Nikolai Ignatevich Vinogradov.

Admiral Vinogradov was laid down in the former Soviet Union in February 1986 and was launched in June 1987. The ship was commissioned and joined the Pacific Fleet on 30 December 1988.

The ship has an overall length of 163 m, a beam of 19.3m, and a draught of 6.2m. The displacement of the ship is 6,200 tons. She can reach a maximum speed of 29 kt and a range of 10,500 nm at 14kt. It has a crew of 300 sailors.

The Project 949A nuclear-powered submarine has a length of 155 meters, a displacement of 24,000 tons, a depth of submersion of 600 meters, and an underwater speed of 32 knots. Its crew totals 107. The Project 949A nuclear-powered submarine is armed with six torpedo tubes and 24 launchers to fire Granit cruise missiles with a range of about 500 kilometers (311 miles).
