Three submarines to join the Pacific Fleet of Russian Navy in 2022

The admiral said that the fleet should receive the first Borei-A class nuclear-powered submarine, Knyaz Oleg, and the first Yasen-M class nuclear-powered submarine, Novosibirsk, in 2022.

The Pacific Fleet will also get the third Project 636.3 submarine Magadan this year. When it is delivered, the fleet will operate six noiseless diesel-electric submarines armed with Kalibr cruise missiles.

The fourth Project 20380 corvette Rezky built by the Amur Shipyard will be delivered to the Pacific Fleet this year. Now, this ship is undergoing dock trials. The fleet will also receive the Project 12700 minesweepers Petr Ilyichev and Anatoly Shlemov from the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard.

About the Project 885M submarine Novosibirsk

K-573 Novosibirsk is a Yasen-class nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine of the Russian Navy. It is the second boat of the project Yasen-M. Considerable changes were made to the initial Yasen design. Differences in the project have appeared sufficient to consider it as a new upgraded version Yasen-M.
