According to a contract published by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) on December 29, 2020, Boeing is awarded a $198,000,000 not-to-exceed undefinitized fixed-price-incentive-firm-target, cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to a previously awarded contract. This modification provides for the integration of a ground control station that provides command and control capability in support of the MQ-25 aerial refueling drone for the U.S. Navy.

According to a Tweet published by the Australian Minister of Defense Linda Reynolds on December 28, 2020, Australia will invest $23.7 million to upgrade the sonar systems of the Collins-class submarines of the Australian Navy. Thales Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) have signed a contract to deliver these next-generation systems on the Collins-class submarines.

On December 24, 2020, Myanmar Navy celebrated its 73rd Anniversary at Yangon's No 3 Naval Wharf in Thilawa. During this event, seven new warships have joined the Navy including the Stealth Fast Attack Craft (492), Submarine Chasers Yan Nyein Aung-class 443/446, and the new submarine Minye Theinkhathu that was manufactured in Russia and transferred from India.
