Environment:
CNIM is a leading European specialist in waste-to-energy conversion and offers solutions via a multi-channel process for the key stages of waste and biomass treatment. The Environment sector is active in:
» the design, construction and operation of waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy plants;
» flue gas treatment (via its subsidiary LAB).
     
CNIM covers the entire life cycle of products and systems with high technological content (research, development, production, installation, commissioning and maintenance) in the fields of Defense, Energy, Life Sciences and Industry.
     
Innovation & Systems:
The Innovation & Systems sector comprises CNIM ’s Industrial Systems Division and its Bertin subsidiaries. It designs and manufactures innovative technical products and equipment, for use in defense, energy, life sciences and industry. The Industrial Systems Division comprises CNIM Industrial Systems (based at La Seyne-sur-Mer), CNIM ’s Chinese subsidiary CTE and its Transport subsidiaries, which are in the process of completing the Group’s final escalator supply contracts. The Industrial Systems Division and Bertin share synergies in both technology and sales in the defense and energy fields. They offer services ranging from research and development to manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
     
CNIM offers an extremely wide range of equipment, systems and services to provide industrialists and authorities with rational energy management by optimizing the operation of thermal installations while protecting the environment. These are made-tomeasure energy production solutions using solar power, fossil fuels or biomass.
     
Energy
CNIM Babcock Services, Babcock Wanson and the Solar Energy Division provide industrial firms and public authorities with global solutions for optimizing fossil fuel, biomass and solar energy facilities. The sector offers made-to-measure, environmentally friendly systems and equipment, as well as maintenance and operating services. CNIM ’s full-spectrum service in the field of thermodynamic solar power — which can be used to generate electricity, process steam, refrigeration, or fresh water — ranges from the supply of turnkey concentrated solar plants to acting as an operator or licensee.

The L-CAT® Ship-to-Shore, manufactured by CNIM, a French company, is a fast and innovative landing craft. With its Ro-Ro design integrating a mobile loading platform in a catamaran hull, the L-CAT® Ship-to-Shore can unload men, armored vehicles and equipment in the absence of port facilities and in shallow water.

Missile Launching Systems

Since 1961, CNIM has designed and produced missile launch tubes for the SSBN (ballistic missile-launching submarines) for the French National Defence. All of the SSBN used by the Strategic Oceanic Force have been equipped by CNIM, i.e. four generations of deterrent weapons.
