Indian
Navy, DRDO test K-15 submarine launched medium-range ballistic missile
The
Indian Navy and DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation)
conducted a successful fourteenth test of the new submarine launched
ballistic missile K-15 (project name B05).
Launched
from a depth of 50 meters, the 10 meters high missile flew out of the
water to reach an altitude of 20 kilometers. It eventually reached its
target located 700 kilometers away in the Bay of Bengal. Indian scientific
officials declared the test a success and validated the ability of the
K-15 to reach its maximum range with high accuracy.
