At the UDT 2015 Undersea Defence Technology exhibition and conference Copper Alloys Ltd from the UK launched a range of highly engineered marine alloys for use in extreme marine environment: The elite marine alloys.

These alloys are described as "the most advanced metals currently available in the world", enabling equipment to last the lifetime of vessels, reducing build and maintenance costs and increasing the safety rating for critical equipment.

At UDT 2015, Copper Alloyed showcased a part of the steering mechanism for the Royal Navy Astute class submarines.
