Thales, BAE Systems and CGI have announced a strategic teaming agreement that will see the three companies bring together their collective expertise and proven UK industrial capability in Electronic Warfare, in order to respond to the opportunity to partner the UK Ministry of Defence for the second phase of the UK Royal Navy’s Maritime Electronic Warfare Programme (MEWP).

A contract for the acquisition of two additional Type 054A Frigates for Pakistan Navy was signed with M/s China Shipbuilding Trading Company Ltd (CSTC), at Ministry of Defence Production, Rawalpindi. Pakistan's deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Rear Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi was present on the occasion.

The Hellenic Navy issued on the 25th of May a request for information for the procurement of heavyweight torpedoes for its Type 214 and the upgraded Type 209 AIP «Okeanos» submarines, as well as the engineering work required for their integration with the ISUS 90-15 and ISUS 90-46 combat management systems. The information provided will be used to define the technical specifications of the tender.

Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong and Indian PM Narendra Modi witnessed the exchange of a new Implementing Arrangement (IA) between the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Indian Navy (IN) at the Istana today. Titled "Implementing Arrangement between the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Indian Navy Concerning Mutual Coordination, Logistics and Services Support", the IA was exchanged between Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
