The construction of the new Combat Support Ship (CSS) Zr. Ms Den Helder should start soon. An agreement has been reached between the Dutch MoD and Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding on the construction and delivery of a CSS. State Secretary Barbara Visser sent the last required document (D letter) to the Lower House on December 19.
The Sevmash Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) is preparing the Project 955A (Borei-A) nuclear-powered submarine Knyaz Vladimir for its delivery to the Navy, Shipyard CEO Mikhail Budnichenko told TASS on Friday.

Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 19, the future USS St. Louis, completed Acceptance Trials in Lake Michigan. Now that trials are complete, the ship will undergo final outfitting and fine-tuning before delivery. LCS 19 is the tenth Freedom-variant LCS designed and built by the Lockheed Martin-led industry team and is slated for delivery to the Navy early next year.
China's 2nd aircraft carrier, the country's first domestically built one, was named Shandong (hull 17) and was commissioned into the Chinese Navy on Tuesday. The new carrier entered service at the naval port in Sanya on the South China Sea island of Hainan. The ship bears the hull number 17.

The Bulgarian Navy received its second Airbus Helicopter AS365N3 + Dauphin II (tail number 905) naval helicopter on December 6, 2019, at the Chaika airfield in Varna. This helicopter was procured as a replacement of the AS565MB Panther that crashed in 2017.
