Citing The Borneo Post, Currently, the Tanjung Manis zone has only one boat and with the added asset, MMEA will be able to carry out better monitoring and search and rescue operations.

After 20 years in the service of the Fisheries Department in June 2006, the ship was handed over to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).
