According to information published by The Hindu on October 2, 2021, the maiden sea trials of the indigenous aircraft carrier Vikrant have progressed very well and the second phase of trails are expected to begin at the end of October with the third phase planned for December, a defense official said.

According to a contract published by the United States Department of Defense on September 30, 32021, General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is awarded a $475,002,626 cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to a previously awarded contract for lead yard support efforts serving the entire Columbia-class fleet ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) through 2028.

The technical launch of “Al Khor”, the third of the Al Zubarah class corvette ordered to Fincantieri by the Qatari Ministry of Defence within the national naval acquisition program, took place today at the Muggiano (La Spezia) shipyard. The vessel will be delivered in 2022.
