They successfully destroyed the hostile air weapons operating at various altitudes and directions. The ships fired AK-176M and AK-630M artillery guns, it said.

The antisubmarine ships laid minefields to block the navigation and bar hostile warships, submarines, and torpedoes from the harbor.

The Parchim-class corvette (Soviet designation Project 1331M) was developed for the East German Navy in the late 1970s, and built by the Wolgast Peene-Werft. The ships were designed for coastal anti-submarine warfare.

The AK-630 is a Soviet and Russian fully automatic naval close-in weapon system based on a six-barreled 30 mm rotary cannon. In "630", "6" means 6 barrels and "30" means 30 mm. It is mounted in an enclosed automatic turret and directed by MR-123 radar and television detection and tracking.
