The seagoing tug of project 745 is intended for towing and berthing operations in the sea and coastal areas. They are equipped with a main electric motor with diesel generators.
Tugs of this project in various modifications served on all fleets of the USSR and later - the Russian Federation. In total, more than 40 seagoing tugs, rescue tugs, and Coast Guard ships of this type were built for the Navy and Coast Guard in Leningrad.
Seagoing tug MB-30 laid down at the Yaroslavl Shipyard (yard No.403), commissioned in 1973, and was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet. In 1997 transferred to the Ukrainian Naval Forced with renamed Korets (U830).
The tug has a length of 56.5 meters, a beam of 12.64 meters, and a draft of 4.47 meters. She can reach a top speed of 13.2 knots and can carry up a complement of 35 sailors.
