According to information published by China Times on July 7, 2022, the future Taiwanese Navy's (Republic of China Navy) Yushan-class Landing Platform Dock Yushan has begun sea trials off Kaohsiung.

The Yushan-class landing platform dock is a class of landing platform dock built by CSBC Corporation, Taiwan for the Republic of China Navy (ROCN).
Yushan-class ships have a length of 153 m (502 ft), a beam of 23 m (75 ft), and their standard displacement is 10,000 t (9,800 long tons). The class has a draught of 6.1 m (20 ft), a maximum speed of 21 knots (39 km/h), and a range of 7,000 mi (11,000 km).
The ships are able to carry several AAV7 amphibious APCs along with 673 troops. The ships also have a single flight deck with two hangars able to accommodate Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk or the naval Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk helicopters.
The class is unusually well-armed for a landing platform dock with a 76 mm gun, two Phalanx CIWS, and two modular missile launchers of either 8 Hsiung Feng II surface-to-surface missiles or 16 Hai Chien surface-to-air missiles. They also have radar signature reducing features an electromagnetic pulse protection.
