Naval Group is committed to its customers to provide high performance naval military capacity and to stand by them in the long term. Naval Group supports its partners in developing national security through transfer of technology for the production and maintenance of their defence systems and contributes to their self-reliance and sovereignty.

The company has been established in Indonesia since 2013 and is able to bring its robust track-record in terms of large and successful technology transfers worldwide.

Indonesia is a key country in the Indo-Pacific region and a strategic partner of France. The two countries have signed a defence cooperation agreement at Defence Minister level in August 2021.

In February 2022, Naval Group and PT PAL signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement seeking to leverage the capabilities of both partners to provide solutions to meet the needs of the Indonesian Navy but also by opening a joint R&D centre involving other Indonesian stockholders, such as universities, research centres and industrials.

During Indo Defence, Naval Group will have a joint stand with its strategic partner PT PAL. The group will reiterate its commitment to develop strategic partnerships with the Indonesian Industry and meet the growing requirements of the Indonesian Navy.

Naval Group will present a large range of equipment and solutions including:

 Scorpène conventional attack submarine

Scorpène® is a multi-mission sea proven submarine designed by Naval Group to cover the full spectrum of submarine warfare, such as anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, special operations or intelligence gathering. Extremely stealthy with a powerful combat capability (torpedoes and missiles) and high operational readiness, contributing to a credible deterrence.

With 14 submarines built worldwide, the Scorpène® is a key reference of conventional attacksubmarines (SSK) for navies around the world. She can be easily adapted to specific requirements of customers and the continuous improvement of the Scorpene ensures the seamless integration
of the latest technology onboard.

 CANTO®: anti-torpedo countermeasure

CANTO® represents a breakthrough in the field of anti-torpedo defence. Based on dilution/confusion concept, it is the only solution capable of protecting surface vessels against both the most advanced and the previous generation torpedoes.

Unlike the seduction-based decoy, CANTO® acts completely independently of the attacking torpedo(es). Its principle consists in saturating the torpedo sonar and data processing by generating a permanently renewed tactical picture resulting in exhausting the torpedo(es) energy.

Thanks to the limited number of CANTO® needed by salvo and to its compatibility with most decoy launchers, CANTO® can be easily installed on board any surface vessel.

 Belharra® frigate

Belharra® is the innovative, 100% digital and cybersecure combat ship, designed for crisis management as well as naval supremacy in high-intensity conflict.

This compact frigate provides a wide and complete spectrum of missions, alone or as part of a collaborative naval force, for long-duration missions on the high seas as well as for littoral operations.

As the first digital frigate, Belharra® has high-level capabilities in anti-air, anti-surface, anti-submarine and asymmetric warfare, considering the French Navy's operational heritage acquired in operations.

Modular and scalable, Belharra® can be adapted to meet the specific needs of the navies. This frigate, natively ready for technology transfer and local construction, contributes to the sovereignty of our client countries.

The French Navy FDI program will see the first of its five frigates completed in 2024 and the Belharra® has also been selected by the Hellenic Navy.
