The Göteborg class is a class of corvettes in the Swedish Navy. She was designed for the purpose of destroying Soviet submarines and surface vessels.

With a displacement of 380 to 425 tonnes. The ship measures 57 meters in length and has a beam of 8 meters, making her a compact and maneuverable platform for various missions.

Powering the vessel are three MTU diesel engines, each delivering 2,560 kW of power. This, combined with the water jet propulsion system, gives the corvette a top speed of 30 knots. The range of the vessel is impressive, with a capability of reaching up to 3,704 km on a single tank of fuel.

To accommodate its crew, the corvette has a complement of 23 officers and 18 seamen, for a total of 41 personnel. To ensure maximum efficiency and safety, the vessel is equipped with a variety of sensors and processing systems, including the Sea Giraffe 150 HC radar, the PN621 navigation radar, and two fire control radar sights from SAAB. The vessel also features a hull-mounted sonar, a towed array sonar, and a variable depth sonar, allowing it to detect and track underwater threats.

For self-defense, the corvette is armed with a Bofors 57 mm Mk2 gun and a Bofors 40 mm/L70 gun. In addition, it has eight RBS15 MkII anti-ship missiles, four 400 mm tubes for Type 43/45 torpedoes, and four ELMA anti-submarine mortars. The vessel also has the capability to deploy mines and depth charges.

Finally, the corvette is equipped with the Rheinmetall TKWA/MASS (Multi Ammunition Softkill System) for electronic warfare and decoys. This system provides an added layer of protection for the vessel and its crew.
