This project, a part of Brazil’s 'Blue Amazon' maritime protection programme, is set to revolutionize the surveillance and protection of the nation’s vast coastal infrastructure. Known as ‘Sistema de Gerenciamento da Amazonia Azul’ (SisGAAz), it represents a monumental step in safeguarding Brazil's maritime interests.

SisGAAz, a critical component of the ‘Blue Amazon Management System,’ is designed to continuously monitor and protect Brazil's maritime areas of interest, including its rich marine life resources, ports, vessels, and maritime infrastructures.

This system is crucial in defending against various threats such as environmental disasters, piracy, illegal smuggling, and potential hostilities, thus reinforcing Brazil’s national security and fostering development.

The collaboration of EDGE and SIATT in the SisGAAz project was pivotal for its selection, triumphing over several major global industry contenders. This partnership will foster co-development and knowledge transfer in cutting-edge areas including artificial intelligence, data fusion, coastal radar technology, and autonomous systems for air, land, and maritime defense.

Additionally, both companies are jointly working on constructing an integration laboratory, a communication training center, and a simulation center, with the first communications tower planned at Arraial do Cabo, east of Rio de Janeiro.

Founded in 2015 and based in São José dos Campos, SIATT specializes in integrating high-tech systems for defense and aerospace sectors. Its portfolio includes intelligent weaponry like missiles and guided munitions, integrated into aircraft, naval vessels, and land vehicles, along with advanced radars, sensors, and avionics systems technologies.
