The Type 075 plays a pivotal role in modern naval warfare for China. Equipped with sophisticated command systems, this ship serves as the command hub for amphibious operations, coordinating efforts among various branches, including the army, navy, air force, rocket force, strategic support force, and joint logistics force. Although the Type 071 landing ship can serve a similar purpose, the efficiency and effectiveness of the Type 075 are unmatched.

In a multi-dimensional amphibious operation, the presence of an integrated command center like the Type 075 can significantly improve operational efficiency. Another noteworthy aspect is the Type 075's function as a relay station for the army's aviation unit.

Considering the width of the Taiwan Strait, which stretches over a hundred kilometers, army helicopters face constraints in terms of endurance and safety during fully-loaded operations.

By positioning the Type 075, which boasts robust aviation capabilities, as a relay in the middle of the strait, the operational efficiency of helicopters can be significantly enhanced. Moreover, the ship is also equipped to operate drones, further expanding its operational possibilities.

For potential landing operations on the eastern side of Taiwan, aiming to create a pincer maneuver for a swift recapture, the Type 075 is indispensable. With its holistic aviation, amphibious transport, and command abilities, the vessel can coordinate fleet landings, deploy troops to beachheads, and dispatch helicopters and drones for cover.

Given the multiple scenarios in which the Type 075 could play a crucial role, the current three ships in service may not suffice. Following the imminent launch of the fourth ship, the fifth and sixth vessels are expected to be constructed and launched in rapid succession.

If trends from the first three Type 075s are to be considered, it is anticipated that by 2025, the new batch of Type 075s will be commissioned and quickly achieve operational readiness.
