At DIMDEX 2024 in Doha, Qatar, the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet was represented by the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, which made an appearance on the event.

Originally commissioned in 1985 and classified as an Udaloy-class destroyer, the ship has been reclassified as a frigate after undergoing significant upgrades and modernization, enhancing its combat and operational systems.

Throughout its service, Marshal Shaposhnikov has participated in various operations, including naval exercises with the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean and anti-piracy missions near Somalia.

With a standard displacement of 6,200 tons and a full load displacement of 7,900 tons, the Marshal Shaposhnikov measures 163 meters in length, has a beam of 19.3 meters, and a draught of 7.8 meters.

It is powered by a COGAG propulsion system with four gas turbines, producing 89,000 kW (120,000 hp), enabling speeds of up to 35 knots (65 km/h; 40 mph) and a range of 10,500 nautical miles (19,400 km) at 14 knots (26 km/h; 16 mph). The ship accommodates a crew of 300.

The frigate is equipped with a range of sensors and processing systems for various operational requirements, including "Fregat-M" and "Fregat-N2" air/surface search radars, "Anapa-M" anti-saboteur sonar system, and "Bagira" fire control radar. Its electronic warfare suite includes the TK-25-2 EW system and PK-10 countermeasure launchers.

Marshal Shaposhnikov's armament consists of 16 UKSK VLS cells for various missiles such as Kalibr, Oniks, Zircon, and Otvet, alongside 8 3M24 anti-ship missiles, 64 VLS cells for Kinzhal surface-to-air missiles, a 100 mm A-190 gun, four 30mm AK-630 close-in weapon systems, torpedo tubes, and anti-submarine rocket launchers. It also carries 2 Ka-27 "Helix" helicopters, supported by a dedicated deck and hangar.
