"They will cooperate in the design of new research vessels. The document was inked by acting CEO of the center Pavel Filippov and Almaz CEO Alexander Shlyakhtenko," it said.
Both institutions will work to upgrade the ageing fleet of research vessels. The Krylov center will provide its test base and Almaz - its competences.
It is premature to speak about technical characteristics of the vessels. It was reported they will have an ice class. Nevskoe Design Bureau earlier planned to bid in the tender for Arctic research vessel design.
