According to information published by the Russian press agency TASS on June 7, 2021, the Russian Yantar Shipyard began mooring trials of the Yevgeny Gorigledjan Project 02670 oceanographic research vessel for the Russian Navy, enterprise spokesman Sergey Mikhailov said.

“Yantar Shipyard has launched active mooring trials of the Yevgeny Gorigledjan,” he said. Over 200 people daily work onboard. The vessel has to be handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry this year.
The oceanographic vessel 'Yevgeny Gorigledjan' is based on the MB-305 rescue tugboat which was built at Poland’s Szczecin Shipyard in 1983. The vessel is intended for various oceanographic tasks. It was laid on March 19, 2016.
Project 02670 was designed by Almaz bureau for underwater work, monitoring of the marine environment, seabed survey, and assistance to distressed people at sea. It can carry underwater rescue craft. The displacement is 4000 tons. The vessel is 81-meter long and 16-meter wide. Cruising capacity is 30 days. The crew comprises 32 men and the vessel can also accommodate 25 expedition members.
