DIMDEX 2024: Sigma 10514 Patrulla Oceanica de Largo Alcance by Damen


During DIMDEX 2024, Damen Shipyards presented the Sigma 10514 Patrulla Oceánica de Largo Alcance (POLA), a naval vessel designed for long-range patrol operations.

The Sigma 10514 POLA has a displacement of 2,600 tons, with its length ranging from 107.5 meters in Batch 1 to 130 meters in Batch 2, and a width between 14 to 17 meters. The draft of the ship is 3.9 meters.

The vessel is equipped with various sensors and weapons systems, including the Thales Group TÁCTICOS combat management system, SMART-S primary radar, Raytheon Anschütz Synapsis navigation radar, Indra Rigel RESM/RECM electronic warfare system, and Thales CAPTAS variable depth sonar.

Armament on the Sigma 10514 POLA includes RGM-84L Harpoon Block II anti-ship missiles, RIM-116 RAM Block II air defense missiles, Mark 54 MAKO torpedoes, a Bofors 57 mm gun, a MK-38 Mod 3 25mm gun, and six Browning M2 12.7 mm machine guns.

The propulsion system of the ship combines diesel mechanical and diesel-electrical systems, allowing for a maximum speed of over 28 knots and a range of 9,260 km at 15 knots. It can accommodate a crew of 124.
