The Australian Ministers for Defence and Defence Materiel announced
May 15 that the government of Australia will enter into a Foreign Military
Sales (FMS) planning case with the U.S. Navy for the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned
Aircraft System (UAS). The FMS planning case will help Australian defense
officials assess the applicability of Triton’s capabilities to
their high-altitude, long-endurance UAS for maritime patrol and other
surveillance requirements.

Corvettes (Littoral Combat Ship program) will be fitted with 57mm Mark
3 main guns with stealth cupola from BAE Systems Bofors. We also took

The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System demonstrator (UCAS-D) completed
its first ever carrier-based catapult launch from USS George H.W. Bush
(CVN 77) off the coast of Virginia today. "Today we saw a small,
but significant pixel in the future picture of our Navy as we begin
integration of unmanned systems into arguably the most complex warfighting
environment that exists today: the flight deck of a nuclear-powered
aircraft carrier," said Vice Adm. David Buss, commander, Naval
Air Forces, the Navy's "Air Boss".
